In short

  • Cancel whenever you like — you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, and nothing renews after that.
  • First payment for a paid plan: full refund within 14 days, no questions asked.
  • Charged for a renewal you meant to cancel and have not used? Tell us within 7 days and we refund it.

This summary is for orientation only. The sections below are the document that applies.

1. What this covers#

This policy applies to every payment taken through Projments: plan subscriptions (Starter and Professional, monthly or annual), extra storage, and 3D Room Scanner packages. Payments are processed by Stripe, and refunds are returned through Stripe to the original payment method.

It sits alongside the Terms of Service. Where your local consumer law gives you stronger rights than this policy, those rights apply — nothing here takes them away.

2. Cancelling a subscription#

  • Cancel at any time from Billing in your workspace settings, or by raising a request in our Support Center.
  • Cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid for — you keep full access until that period ends.
  • At the end of the period the account drops to the Free plan. Your data is not deleted at that moment; see the Data Retention Policy for what happens next and how long you have to export.
  • If your usage exceeds Free-plan limits after a downgrade — storage in particular — reduce it before the period ends, or arrange an export.
  • Cancelling does not by itself entitle you to a refund of the current period; refunds are covered in §3.

3. When we refund#

SituationWhat you getDeadline to ask
First payment on a new paid subscription (monthly or annual)Full refundWithin 14 days of the charge
A renewal you intended to cancel, where the account has not been used since it renewedFull refund of that renewalWithin 7 days of the charge
Duplicate charge, wrong amount, or a charge you did not authoriseFull refund of the incorrect amountAny time — tell us as soon as you notice
Extra storage or a scanner package that has not been usedFull refundWithin 14 days of purchase
A prolonged outage, or a material reduction in the features of your paid planPro-rata refund of the unused part of the periodWithin 30 days of the event
You upgraded or downgraded mid-periodThe difference is prorated by Stripe against your next invoice rather than refunded

Outside these situations we may still issue a partial refund where the circumstances warrant it. Ask — we would rather settle a complaint than argue about a month.

4. When we do not refund#

  • Periods already substantially used, once the windows in §3 have passed. A subscription is a right of access for a period; we do not refund a period you had access to.
  • Accounts terminated for breach of the Terms of Service — for abuse, unlawful use, or non-payment elsewhere on the account.
  • Charges more than six months old, unless your local law requires otherwise or the charge was erroneous.
  • Third-party costs you incurred around the Service — mobile data, hardware, your own staff time.
  • Losses from relying on unverified 3D scan measurements; see the Terms.

5. Statutory withdrawal rights#

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another jurisdiction with a statutory cooling-off period, you have 14 days from purchase to withdraw. Because Projments is a digital service that starts immediately, if you asked us to begin during that period we may deduct a proportionate amount for the days you had access before withdrawing. Business customers do not have a statutory cooling-off right, but the 14-day window in §3 gives them the practical equivalent.

6. How to request a refund#

  1. Raise a request in our Support Center from the account that was charged, so we can match it to the payment without asking you to prove anything.
  2. Include the invoice number or the date and amount of the charge, and one line on why you are asking.
  3. We answer within 5 business days. If we need something from you, we ask once and clearly.
  4. Approved refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method. Stripe releases them immediately; your bank typically shows the money within 5–10 business days.
  5. Refunds are made in the currency of the original charge. We cannot cover exchange-rate movements or fees your bank applies.

7. Failed payments and past-due accounts#

If a renewal fails, Stripe retries it and we email you. Once the paid period is over the account moves to the Free plan: paid features lock and new uploads stop, but nothing is deleted — every project, expense, sale, time record and file stays exactly where it is, and settling the balance unlocks all of it again with nothing to restore. We do not delete a former customer’s data on a timer; the Data Retention Policy sets out the only circumstances in which it is ever removed.
