You mark the room rather than sweep it. Walk the space tapping the floor corners in order — the app suggests corners it has detected and you confirm each one — then tap the ceiling on each wall so stepped or sloping ceilings are recorded properly, and place doors and windows with two taps each. From that it solves the walls and builds a measured 2D plan with a matching 3D model. Phones with a depth sensor get the full depth pipeline; the rest fall back to feature points and detected planes, and still produce a measured room.

You can still open, edit and export every project on the device — only live capture needs AR. And nothing stops you drawing the plan on the web instead.

No. Capture works fully offline — the scan is stored on your phone and syncs to your web library the next time you are online.

Automatically. Every scan made while signed in to your account uploads to My Scans in the background — no cables, no manual export. Sign in on a new phone and your projects come back down.

A real editor. There is a seven-tab ribbon, a command line with aliases and autocomplete, relative and polar point entry (@3,2 and @5<30), OSNAP / GRID / ORTHO / POLAR / DYN on the usual function keys, window versus crossing selection, grips, and around twenty modify commands. If you have used AutoCAD, the conventions are the ones you expect.

Yes — well beyond nudging a wall. Draw and modify geometry, add doors, windows and archways, place furniture and blocks, hatch, annotate with text and five kinds of dimension, and rename, archive or duplicate the project itself.

The building side of the workspace. Levels stack storeys; the view list groups every view by kind — floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, sections, 3D views, cameras, schedules and drafting sheets — so a section or an elevation is a view of the model, not a separate drawing to maintain. Schedules tabulate seven sources: rooms, doors, windows, walls, furniture, blocks and levels.

Reusable parametric content you build yourself. Sketch a profile in 2D, push it into a solid, nest blocks inside blocks, mark parts as solid or void to cut openings, and save the result to a library you can place into any project.

Yes. Orbit it like a normal 3D view, or switch to walk mode and move through the space with a virtual joystick. Doors and windows are cut as real solids in the walls, so openings read correctly from inside.

Yes — split the workspace into panes or tile several viewports, and use focus mode when you want one of them full-size. Display toggles are per view, there is a selection filter, and the canvas comes in light or dark. One selection set is shared across the 2D plan and the 3D model, so picking a wall in one highlights it everywhere.

Seven, from the Export tab: PNG, PDF, SVG, a print report, DXF 2D, DXF 3D and CSV quantities. See what each one is for. The phone app exports PDF, PNG, DXF 2D and DXF 3D on its own.

My Scans has search, a grid or list toggle that remembers your choice, and tabs that split Scanned from Drawn once you have both. Any project can be renamed, duplicated, archived or deleted.

Your signed-in navigation: My Scans, My Profile, Billing & Plan, Showcase, Overview and this Help Center. Collapse it to icons and it stays collapsed next time; it steps out of the way while a project is open, and it is hidden on small screens.

Yes. The sample project is a real apartment open in the real workspace — every tool works, and nothing you do to it is saved. No sign-up, no install.

It depends on your pack — each one includes a set number of scans (or unlimited). Compare the packs in the pricing section.

Yes. Projects belong to your account alone — nobody else can see them. You can see every phone currently signed in to your account, and revoke any of them, from your profile.
